Get involved in the mission and vision of DH517 & Volunteer
Volunteers are the heartbeat of DH517. We are so appreciative of those who sacrificially serve others through DH for God’s glory. We strive to equip our volunteers for the area they are serving. Volunteer training is offered by appointment, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule your orientation. We suggest to anyone interested in volunteering at DH to join us on a Tuesday night for dinner and a lesson. Or stop by the community center during the day to fill out a volunteer application, visit with current volunteers and get a feel for the ministry. Interested in walking alongside someone who is new in their faith or sobriety and/or recovery?
Join us for training to become a Navigator or Mentor!
Please contact the ministry for the next Training class!
What is a Navigator?
Navigators have themselves had success in recovery and are able to help someone in that transformation process in our New Life program. They are trained and equipped to have the skills and tools needed to assist the person they are assigned to walk with.
What is a Spiritual Mentor?
Spiritual mentors are individuals grounded in the Christian faith. Our mentors are introduced during the later phase of the New Life program designed to transition the recoveree to a faith community for support and growth in their faith journey.
Our volunteers and community partners truly are the hands and feet of Discover Hope 517. Without them, we would not be able to do what we do. We would love to show them off a bit!
